BrightStor Backup Discovery 서비스의 버전에 따르면 해당 서비스는 다중의 취약점들(QO91094)에 취약하다. BrightStor ARCserve Backup은 기업용 백업 프로그램이다. 또한 자체 Discovery 서비스는 BrightStor 서버들의 존재를 파악하고자 로컬 네트워크 상에 있는 다른 BrightStor 서버들로부터의 브로드캐스트(broadcast) 패킷들을 기다린다. 다양한 Computer Associates (CA) BrightStor ARCserve Backup 제품들은 다중의 취약점들에 취약하다. 이 취약점들은 공격자들에 의해 보안 제한들의 우회, 서비스 거부 유발, 영향을 받는 시스템들에 대한 완전한 제어권 획득에 도용될 수 있다.
