| Detailed Description |
The Easy Address Book Web Server is vulnerable to a format string vulnerability which exists in version 1.2. Easy Address Book Web Server is a Web Address Book software that allows users to view, search, add, edit, or administer address books easily through a Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Opera etc.). Easy Address Book Web Server version 1.2 could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by a format string vulnerability. This vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial of service (server crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in the query string argument.
