| Detailed Description |
The Oracle Reports Server is vulnerable to a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the test.jsp example script. Oracle Reports Server consists of Oracle Reports Developer (a component of the Oracle Developer Suite) and Oracle Application Server Reports Services (a component of the Oracle Application Server). Oracle Reports Server version 10g (9.0.4.3.3) is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input in the test.jsp example script. This vulnerability could permit a remote attacker to create a malicious URI link that includes hostile HTML and script code. If this link were to be followed, the hostile code may be rendered in the web browser of the victim user. This would occur in the security context of the affected web site and may allow for theft of cookie-based authentication credentials or other attacks.
