| Detailed Description |
The MaxWebPortal software is vulnerable to an SQL injection vulnerability in the password.asp script. MaxWebPortal is a freely available Web portal and online community system written in ASP. MaxWebPortal version 1.35, 1.36, 2.0, and 20050418 Next versions could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL commands, caused by improper filtering of user-supplied input passed to the 'memKey' parameter of the 'password.asp' script. This vulnerability could permit a remote attacker to pass malicious input to database queries, potentially resulting in data exposure, modification of the query logic, or even data modification or attacks against the database itself.
