Detailed Description The Ultimate PHP Board is vulnerable to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities (2). Ultimate PHP Board (UPB) is a freely available, open source PHP Bulletin Board for the Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems. Ultimate PHP Board version 1.9.6 and earlier versions are vulnerable to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input passed to the chat/send.php, chat/users.php, chat/top.php, chat/main.php, chat/header.php, and register.php scripts. These vulnerabilities could permit a remote attacker to create a malicious URI link that includes hostile HTML and script code. If this link were to be followed, the hostile code may be rendered in the web browser of the victim user. This would occur in the security context of the affected web site and may allow for theft of cookie-based authentication credentials or other attacks.
