Detailed Description |
According to its self-reported version number, the Apache Tomcat instance listening on the remote host is prior to 6.0.14. It is, therefore, affected by the following vulnerabilities :
- Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities exists due to improper validation of user-supplied input before returning it to users. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by convincing a user to click a specially crafted URL, to execute arbitrary script code in a user's browser session. (CVE-2007-2449, CVE-2007-2450, CVE-2007-3386) - Session hijacking vulnerabilities exists in Tomcat due to incorrect handling of specific special characters in cookie values. In certain cases an attacker could leverage this to leak sensitive information, such as the session ID.(CVE-2007-3382, CVE-2007-3385)
