| Detailed Description |
SyGate engine remote controller seems to be running on TCP port 7323.
SyGate is a remote administration server for Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT platforms produced by Sybergen Networks, Inc. This server does not properly restrict access to its administration service, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, or access network traffic statistics.

| Recommendation |
Upgrade to the latest version of SyGate, available from the Sybergen Downloads web site (See References). This vulnerability was fixed in Sygate 3.11 Build 562 and higher. For enhanced security, or as a workaround to block this exploit without upgrading, install Secure Desktop (SyShield) on the SyGate server or enable the SyGate Enhanced Security mode, or both. |
