| Detailed Description |
The hotfix (KB890859) for 'Vulnerabilities in Windows Kernel' has not been applied. Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003 are vulnerable to multiple vulnerabilities as follows:
1) Font Vulnerability (CAN-2005-0060) : Elevation of Privilege
2) Windows Kernel Vulnerability (CAN-2005-0061) : Elevation of Privilege
3) Object Management Vulnerability (CAN-2005-0550) : Denial of Service
4) CSRSS Vulnerability (CAN-2005-0551) : Elevation of Privilege
A local attacker who successfully exploited the most severe of these vulnerabilities could take complete control of an affected system.
* Note: This check requires an account with Guest or upper privileges which can access the registry of the remote host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
