Detailed Description The hotfix (902412) for 'Vulnerability in TNEF Decoding in MS Outlook and MS Exchange' has not been applied. Microsoft Office 2000, XP, 2003, and Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003, and Microsoft Exchange Server could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by an integer overflow vulnerability in the handling routine of Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format (TNEF) MIME attachments. An attacker could exploit the vulnerability by constructing a specially crafted TNEF message that could potentially allow remote code execution when a user opens or previews a malicious e-mail message or when the Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store processes the specially crafted message. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could take complete control of an affected system.

* Note: This check requires an account with administrative privileges which can log into the host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
