Detailed Description |
The hotfix (KB911280) for 'Vulnerability in Routing and Remote Access' seems not to have been installed. Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 are vulnerable to buffer overflow vulnerabilities in the Routing and Remote Access service (RRAS) and the Remote Access Connection Manager service (RASMAN). By sending a specially-crafted RPC related request, remote unauthenticated or authenticated attackers could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the affected host.
