Detailed Description The hotfix (MS06-047, 921645) for 'Vulnerability in Microsoft VBA' has not been applied. Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a development technology for developing client desktop packaged applications and integrating them with existing data and systems. Microsoft VBA SDK versions 6.0 through 6.4, as used by Microsoft Office 2000 SP3, Office XP SP3, Project 2000 SR1, Project 2002 SP1, Access 2000 Runtime SP3, Visio 2002 SP2, and Works Suite 2004 through 2006, are vulnerable to a buffer overflow vulnerability, caused by improper handling of document properties. By constructing a specially crafted Office document containing VBA code, a remote attacker could potentially execute arbitrary code if a user visited a Web site or viewed a specially crafted e-mail message. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could take complete control of an affected system.
