Detailed Description The hotfix (MS07-006, KB928255) for 'Vulnerability in Windows Shell' has not been applied. The Windows Shell in Microsoft Windows XP SP1 and SP2, Server 2003 and 2003 SP1 could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges, caused by improper validation of a function parameter when new hardware is detected and registered. An authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to elevate his privileges.

* Note: This check requires an account with Guest or upper privileges which can access the registry of the remote host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
