Detailed Description The Hotfix (MS06-072, 925454) for the December. 2006 Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer' has not been applied. This patch replaces the one that is provided in Microsoft Security Bulletin (MS06-067, 922760), which is itself a cumulative update and resolves newly discovered public vulnerability:

- DirectAnimation ActiveX Controls Memory Corruption Vulnerability (CVE-2006-4777): Remote Code Execution
- DirectAnimation ActiveX Controls Memory Corruption Vulnerability (CVE-2006-4446): Remote Code Execution
- HTML Rendering Memory Corruption Vulnerability (CVE-2006-4687): Remote Code Execution

If a user is logged on with administrative privileges, an attacker who successfully exploited the most severe of these vulnerabilities could take complete control of an affected system, including installing programs; viewing, changing, or deleting data; or creating new accounts with full privileges. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer privileges on the system would be at less risk than users who operate with administrative privileges.

* Note: This check requires an account with Guest or upper privileges which can access the registry of the remote host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
