Detailed Description The hotfix (MS07-022, KB931784) for 'Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability in Windows Kernel' has not been applied. Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4, XP SP1 and SP2, and Server 2003 up to SP2 could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges, caused by a race condition in the Windows kernel's Virtual DOS Machine (VDM) implementation. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges.

* Note: This check requires an account with Guest or upper privileges which can access the registry of the remote host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
