Detailed Description |
The hotfix (934873) for 'Remote Code Execution Vulnerability in Microsoft Office' has not been applied. Microsoft Office could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system, caused by a vulnerability when Office parses a file and processes a malformed drawing object. By constructing a specially crafted Office file, a remote attacker could potentially execute arbitrary code if a user visited a Web site or viewed a specially crafted e-mail message. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could take complete control of an affected system.
