Detailed Description |
The hotfix (MS07-040, 931212) for 'Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities in .NET Framework' has not been applied. Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 could allow a remote attacker to exploit the following vulnerabilities:
- .NET PE Loader Vulnerability (CVE-2007-0041): Remote Code Execution - ASP.NET NULL Byte Termination Vulnerability (CVE-2007-0042): Information Disclosure - .NET JIT Compiler Vulnerability (CVE-2007-0043): Remote Code Execution
An attacker who successfully exploited the most severe of these vulnerabilities could execute arbitrary code on the affected host with the privilege of the logged-on user.
* Note: This check requires an account with administrative privileges which can log into the host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
