Detailed Description The hotfix (MS07-067, KB944653) for 'Local Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability in Macrovision Driver' has not been applied. Microsoft Windows XP SP1 and SP2, and Server 2003 up to SP2 are vulnerable to a buffer overflow vulnerability, caused by improper bounds checking by the Macrovision Security Driver (secdrv.sys) when handling arguments passed to certain IOCTL handlers. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability using a specially-crafted argument to the METHOD_NEITHER IOCTL to execute arbitrary code on the system with SYSTEM privileges.

* Note: This check requires an account with Guest or upper privileges which can access the registry of the remote host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
