Detailed Description The Hotfix (MS08-031, 950759) for the June. 2008 Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer' has not been applied. This patch replaces the one that is provided in Microsoft Security Bulletin (MS08-024, 947864), which is itself a cumulative update and resolves newly discovered public vulnerability:

- HTML Objects Memory Corruption Vulnerability (CVE-2008-1442): Information Disclosure
- Request Header Cross-Domain Information Disclosure Vulnerability (CVE-2008-1544): Remote Code Execution

If a user is logged on with administrative privileges, an attacker who successfully exploited the most severe of these vulnerabilities could take complete control of an affected system, including installing programs; viewing, changing, or deleting data; or creating new accounts with full privileges.

* Note: This check requires an account with Guest or upper privileges which can access the registry of the remote host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
