VID 26363
Severity 40
Port 139,445
Protocol TCP
Class SMB
Detailed Description The hotfix (MS08-047, 953733) for 'Information Disclosure Vulnerability in Ipsec Policy Processing' has not been applied. Microsoft Windows Vista through SP1 and Server 2008 could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by a vulnerability in the manner in which Ipsec policies are imported to Windows Server 2008 domains from Windows Server 2003 domains. This vulnerability could cause systems to ignore Ipsec policies and transmit network traffic in clear text. This, in turn, would potentially disclose information intended to be encrypted on the network. An attacker intercepting the traffic on the network could exploit this vulnerability to read network traffic content that was intended to be encrypted.

* Note: This check requires an account with administrative privileges which can log into the host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
