| Detailed Description |
The Hotfix (960859) for 'Telnet Credential Reflection Vulnerability' has not been applied. A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the Microsoft Telnet service. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.
* Note: This check requires an account with Guest or upper privileges which can access the registry of the remote host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
