Detailed Description |
The Hotfix (MS16-111, 3186973) for 'Security Update for Windows Kernel' has not been applied.
This security update resolves vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows. The vulnerabilities could allow elevation of privilege if an attacker runs a specially crafted application on a target system.
Multiple Windows Session Object Elevation of Privilege Vulnerabilities Multiple Windows session object elevation of privilege vulnerabilities exist in the way that Windows handles session objects. A locally authenticated attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerabilities could hijack the session of another user.
Windows Kernel Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability ? CVE-2016-3371 An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in the way that the Windows Kernel API enforces permissions. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could gain access to information that is not intended for the user.
Windows Kernel Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability ? CVE-2016-3372 An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in the way that the Windows Kernel API enforces permissions. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could impersonate processes, interject cross-process communication, or interrupt system functionality.
Windows Kernel Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability ?CVE-2016-3373 An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when the Windows Kernel API improperly allows a user to access sensitive registry information. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could gain access to user account information that is not intended for the user.
