| Detailed Description |
The "Alexa Toolbar" program has been installed on the system.
The presence of this program is sometimes perceived as Adware that can display advertisements.
Generally, Adware program secretly gathers information related to Internet browser usage or habits and relays it back to another computer for advertising purposes. The Alexa Toolbar is Internet Explorer toolbar that contains a pop-up killer, google web search, site info, related links, etc.
* Note: This check requires an account with Guest or upper privileges which can access the registry of the remote host to scan. Absence of these condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
