| Detailed Description |
The Windows system seems to be a multi-homed host. Indeed, the system may have multiple network adapters, and be connected to a serial line and a LAN or to multiple LANs. This may allow an internal user to communicate to outside networks bypassing your security perimeters, or can provide an entry point to internal network for an attacker
* Note: This check item checks only on Windows NT and 2000 platforms. |
| Recommendation |
If multihomed hosts are outside of your security policy, remove the additional network adapters, modems, or uninstall RAS from the Network Services control panel. |
