Detailed Description |
A version of Google Chrome which is older than 3.0.195.21 has been installed on the host. Google Chrome is a web browser released by Google. Google Chrome versions prior to 3.0.195.21 are vulnerable to multiple vulnerabilities.
- Google Chrome's inbuilt RSS/ATOM reader renders untrusted JavaScript in an RSS/ATOM feed. Provided a victim connects to a RSS/ATOM feed link controlled by an attacker or a trusted website allows injecting arbitrary JavaScript content into the site's RSS or ATOM feed, it may be possible for an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript within the victim's browser. (#21238)
- Google Chrome's getSVGDocument() function was lacking an access check, resulting in a cross-origin JavaScript capability leak. A malicious web site operator could use the leaked capability to inject JavaScript into a target web site hosting an SVG document, bypassing the same-origin policy. (#21338)
* Note: This check requires an account with administrative privileges which can log into the host to scan. Absence of this condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
