Detailed Description |
A version of Google Chrome which is older than 3.0.195.24 has been installed on the host. Google Chrome is a web browser released by Google. Google Chrome versions prior to 3.0.195.24 are vulnerable to dtoa vulnerability
A boundary error in the dtoa() function can lead to a buffer overflow. A remote attacker could exploit this by tricking a user into visiting a malicious web page, which could result in arbitrary code execution within the Google Chrome sandbox.
* Note: This check requires an account with administrative privileges which can log into the host to scan. Absence of this condition will result in the check not being performed and a False Negative for all vulnerable hosts.
